Escape to Hyderabad Luxury: FabHotel Pride Inn Near TCS Deccan Park!
Okay, buckle up buttercups, because this is gonna be a wild ride into the heart of FabHotel Pride Inn Near TCS Deccan Park! in Hyderabad. Forget those sterile hotel reviews – we're going deep into the messy, glorious, and sometimes frustrating details. Consider this your digital diary of a (potentially) fabulous stay.
First Impressions & The Labyrinthine Details (Accessibility, Internet, & The Little Things That Matter)
Alright, so landing in Hyderabad, jet-lagged and craving a decent cuppa… that's where FabHotel Pride Inn comes in. Right off the bat, accessibility is a huge thing for me. I'm not in a wheelchair or anything, but I like to know the score. From what I could tell, it looked pretty promising. The website boasted "facilities for disabled guests," which always makes me (slightly) hopeful. The elevator was a definite plus – no lugging suitcases up three flights of stairs! The hallways seemed wide enough, and the overall layout…well, it seemed okay. I’d need to spend more time to properly evaluate accessibility, you know, for genuine accessibility, but at least the entrance looked promising. (Note to self: investigate this properly next time, not just the quick glance!)
Let’s talk WIFI: the holy of holies for a digital nomad like myself! Free Wi-Fi in all rooms? HELL YES! (I'm basically a walking, talking hotspot. Seriously, ask my phone bill.) And, good news, the internet was actually decent. Enough to video call my sister (who, as usual, looked at my travel plans with a mix of horror and envy) and post some Insta stories. Also, they offered Internet [LAN] which is a good thing for those of us who like that direct connection.
Cleanliness & Safety: Feeling Safe in the Land of the Biryani
Okay, so let's get serious. We are (or at least, I am) still in the middle of you know, the pandemic. So, how safe is this place, really? FabHotel proudly boasts of its Anti-viral cleaning products, Daily disinfection in common areas, and Room sanitization between stays. And, they have their "Staff trained in safety protocol" – a big relief. The hand sanitizer pumps? Plentiful. I appreciated that. They also have rooms sanitized between stays and sterilizing equipment. It all sounded good, at least on paper. The CCTV in common areas and CCTV outside property give a general feeling of security. Plus, Safety/security feature were present. But did I see anyone actually using the equipment? Umm… I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic that there was rigorous adherence to the sanitizing protocols. But that's just me.
The Room: A Cozy Cave or a Cookie-Cutter Cube?
So, the room. Ah, the room. It was… fine. The air conditioning worked, which, believe me in Hyderabad, is a game-changer. There was a desk, which was crucial for getting work done. The blackout curtains were a godsend for sleeping off that jet lag. The bed was… well, it was a bed. Not the most luxurious mattress I've ever slept on, but it did the job. And, yay, the complimentary tea and coffee/tea maker! I felt like I was home at last. The Free bottled water, a must, and the mirror to see my face when waking up. I also noted the presence of bathrobes, linens, and towels. The room was non-smoking; something I noticed. There were Bathrobes in the room and Slipers.
However, the carpeting felt a bit tired and the decor was a bit, um, "generic hotel room." I missed a touch of personality, something that would make it feel like a real retreat, not just a place to crash. They did have some room decorations, but not much. Also, the seating area was okay. It was good to have something to do besides the bed.
Food, Glorious Food (Or, The Breakfast Blues and Beyond)
Ah, the most important thing. Food. You know, I live for food! FabHotel Pride Inn offers a range of dining options. The breakfast buffet was, well, a breakfast buffet. An Asian breakfast, a Western breakfast, and all the usual suspects. I made my usual mistake: piling my plate high with everything and regretting it halfway through. The Asian cuisine in restaurant and international cuisine in restaurant was a win, though! I did appreciate the coffee/tea in restaurant and the bottle of water.
The a la carte in restaurant was a nice option for other meals. And while the desserts in restaurant were not the focus, it was nice to know they were there. Also, the salad in restaurant and the soup in restaurant. And that vegetarian restaurant was a good one, too!
They also boast (drumroll please) Room service [24-hour]. This is a godsend! And, in my case, the food was delivered promptly.
Things to Do & Ways to Relax (Or, Where's the Fun?)
Okay, so the hotel offers a bunch of things, supposedly. They have a fitness center. I poked my head in, glanced at the equipment, and promptly retreated back to my room. Sorry, gym, I just couldn't. There’s a swimming pool [outdoor], which looked divine from my window, and the pool with view. But I'll be honest, with the heat and busy city, I was so tired I just wanted to sleep than to go to the pool. They also have a sauna and a Spa/sauna, sauna, steamroom and a spa.
Services and Conveniences: The Good, the Bad, and the Useful
Let's talk practicality. They have a concierge, which can be super helpful for navigating a new city. Unfortunately, they don't have a convenience store, but they do have cash withdrawal so I guess that's something. Laundry service and dry cleaning are available (big props for getting those travel clothes refreshed). They also provide a daily housekeeping, which is a blessing. They also have a luggage storage and a safe deposit boxes. They also have a business facility.
For the Kids Not that I have them, but I noticed they had family/child friendly and babysitting service. So that's good to know
Anecdote Time: That Moment When…
There was one tiny hiccup. I had to call the front desk at 3 AM to fix a leaky faucet. It was a minor inconvenience, but it did disrupt my beauty sleep, so that's a solid minus. Did I get a free breakfast for my trouble? Nope. Did I get a "we're so very sorry"? Nope. (Maybe communication is a point to improve on.) Still, the problem was resolved quickly enough.

Unbelievable Hotel in Rendsburg: Pelli Hof's Secret Revealed!
Alright, buckle up, buttercups, because this isn't your polished Lonely Planet itinerary. This is my FabHotel Pride Inn, Hyderabad, India adventure, warts and all. And trust me, there are warts.
Day 1: Arrival, Annoyance, and…OMG, Biryani Dreams
- Time: 6:00 AM - Wake up and scramble, my flight from Mumbai was delayed. Ugh. Still, there's a certain thrill in the pre-dawn hustle. (Mostly because I'm fueled by coffee and denial).
- Transportation: Airport to FabHotel via overpriced Uber. The driver kept trying to tell me about his life story. I pretended to understand Telugu while attempting to navigate Google Maps. Win-win? Maybe.
- Location: Finally, the Pride Inn. Checking in was…well, let's just say the front desk staff weren’t exactly overflowing with welcoming energy. Felt more like a transaction than a greeting. Room was…fine? Clean enough, and a/c that works, I mean, let's be thankful for small mercies.
- Morning: Spent the morning wallowing and trying to catch up on sleep lost during the flight. It’s the same sleep I’m always "catching up" on. I ordered room service because my "get up, go" spirit had taken a hike.
- Afternoon: The real reason I'm here: FOOD. Seriously. Hyderabad is a culinary pilgrimage. My mission: Biryani. Found a tiny, unassuming place called "Paradise Biryani" (yep, the cliché, I know). But, oh. My. God. The aroma hit me like a tidal wave. The fluffy rice, the spicy chicken, the explosion of flavors… I could have wept. Ate so much I felt like a beached whale. No regrets. Zero.
- Evening: Post-Biryani stupor. Walked (waddled) around Hitech City, which is less "City" and more "collection of gleaming skyscrapers." Had the strong urge to nap.
- Thoughts: First impressions? A mixed bag. The hotel? So-so. The biryani? LEGENDARY. Seriously, I might just spend my entire trip right here, eating. And why not?
- Mistakes: I forgot sunscreen. I'm already starting to resemble a lobster.
Day 2: Temples, Traffic, and the Tears of a Street Dog (Maybe)
- Time: 8:00 AM - Dragged myself out of bed. The biryani coma had faded, replaced by mild indigestion and a sudden craving for something…crisp.
- Transportation: Rickshaw to Charminar. Negotiated the price like a pro (or, at least, I thought I did… probably got ripped off).
- Location: Charminar! The monument's impressive from afar. Dodging the relentless vendors… it's a battle.
- Morning: Wandered through the bustling market surrounding Charminar. Smells of spices, the cacophony of the sounds, and the sheer energy of the place was overwhelming. And amazing! Saw a stray dog looking particularly despondent, and for a second, I actually thought he was crying. (Might have been the pollution in my eyes.)
- Afternoon: Visited the Mecca Masjid. It’s HUGE. I mean, seriously, this place is colossal. The architecture is breathtakingly beautiful, and the atmosphere inside is deeply calming. Felt humbled, even though I'm not religious. After, I got lost in the (thankfully air-conditioned) Laad Bazaar, a haven of bangles, jewelry, and glittering everything.
- Evening: Traffic. Holy mother of God, the traffic. It's legendary. It took forever to get back to the hotel. Spent the evening watching Bollywood movies.
- Thoughts: Hyderabad is a city of contrasts. The old and the new, the rich and the poor… it’s a sensory overload. And the traffic is genuinely terrifying.
- Humourous observation: I may have sneezed so hard at the spice stall that I accidentally knocked over a stack of chili powders.
Day 3: Chai, Chowmahalla, and the Unfolding Truth About My Love of Hyderabad.
- Time: 7:00 AM - Up early! Determined to seize the day, mostly fueled by caffeine and a vague sense of optimism.
- Transportation: Hotel auto-rickshaw to the Chowmahalla Palace. This time, I set the price.
- Morning: Chai break at a roadside stall. The chai was perfect, the conversation (with the chai wallah's niece, I think) was minimal, but the feeling of simple contentment was overwhelming.
- Location: Chowmahalla Palace. Walked around the palace and its courtyards. Wow. Gorgeous. The history! The opulence! The sheer scale of the place! I was mesmerized.
- Afternoon: Back to Paradise Biryani (naturally). This time, I tried a different dish, one with mutton. Even better than the chicken. Or maybe the hunger had fully kicked in, and I would eat anything.
- Evening: I decided to walk off the biryani. I meandered through the less-touristy parts of Hyderabad, and the city's true spirit. And I got it. No. I finally got it. I let myself get lost in the crowds. I ate street food (carefully). I tried to speak a few words of Telegu (which probably sounded like a cat being choked, but people were kind).
- Thoughts: This city has grown on me. It's not just the delicious food (though that's a major factor). It’s the chaos, the friendliness of the people, the sheer vibrancy. The Pride Inn may not be the Four Seasons, but it's home base for now. And right now, I love it.
- Mistake: I accidentally bought a fake Rolex. (I blame the sunshine)
Day 4: Departure and the Biryani Withdrawal
- Time: 9:00 AM - Checked out. I considered staying. Considered just calling Paradise Biryani my permanent residence.
- Transportation: Uber to the airport. The driver was chatty this time, but I was too busy mourning my departure to care.
- Location: Airport. Security was a breeze, but the thought of not having access to biryani… well, that was the real threat.
- Morning: One last look at the skyline. Said a silent prayer to the biryani gods.
- Afternoon: Back on the plane. I'm already plotting my return.
Final Thoughts:
Hyderabad, you magnificent, messy, maddening city. You've won me over. And I'll be back. (Mostly for the biryani.) And next time, I'll remember the sunscreen. And maybe, just maybe, haggle like a professional. Maybe.
